Bubble Wrap Rocks!

This was awhile back, but AJ got the frame for his diploma and it was encased in bubble wrap. We laid it out and let Matt just go for it. He had so much fun with it. Just with AJ being home and enjoying family time before he started work I forgot to post it. Enjoy!

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

Oh what fun it is to jump and pop!

That is one happy boy!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Like I promised in my last blog here are the party pictures. Matt chose chocolate cake mix, chocolate frosting, and chocolate sprinkles for my birthday cake. Does my son know me or what? It was absolutely perfect and we had a wonderful time. My guys really know how to treat a lady. Thank you again my boys for making my birthday so special!

My Special Birthday Cupcake

Birthday Girl with her Cupcakes

He was very patient. Seeing how we
did torture him a bit by having the
cupcakes that close all through out
our dinner.
Going in for the taste...

and got it!

Matt was eyeing down those
cupcakes the whole time.

Eating the cupcake and drinking some milk.
Yummy!

I know it is dark, but that is my sweet little boy singing me Happy Birthday totally un-coached. It made me a little misty eyed. He is getting way too big!

Cupcakes 101

For my birthday Matt and AJ surprised me by making cupcakes. I got to sit back and watch (and take pictures) while they slaved over this birthday treat for me. It was a wonderful surprise and we all had a lot of fun.

Place the cups in the pan

Crack a few eggs

Dump the eggs into the bowl

Set and start the mixer

Set the timer for a good mix

Watching and waiting for the mixing

Making sure everything tastes the
way it should.

Getting to lick the beater

The final taste before going in the
oven according to Matt, "mmmmm."
Which in Matt speak means, bake
those cupcakes and fast!

Coming Soon: The after pictures of the finished product and my little party they threw together for me. I am one lucky girl to have these two amazing guys in my life!

Sharp-da-Tooth and a Little Extras

AJ and I checked out the Land Before Time for Matt to watch. For those who may not know it is a dinosaur movie for kids. In it the T-rex is called Sharp-tooth. He is also Matt's favorite character if you can believe that. Matt was so worried about the big mean dino when he off the screen, and just waiting for another glimpse of him.
Matt was so taken by this character that we now play dinosaurs A LOT! Matt is always the T-Rex, but as Matt now calls him Sharp-da-Tooth.

Poor unsuspecting animals have no idea
what is about to happen.

Watch out! Here comes Sharp-da-Tooth!

No wait it is just Boogie-o-Saurus!

Who loves to get the animals.
Especially if mom built them.

To make sure he got them all
Lighting McQueen was brought
in as backup!

A Safe Spot???

Poor Tobi is always looking for a
safe place to lay down,

and she can never find it.

This picture is included in hopes
to make you smile. It makes
AJ and I laugh every time we
see it, and we wanted to share.

A Summer Treat!

Yesterday AJ came home, after working a 30 hour shift at the hospital, and said, "You know what I have been craving?" I answered my usual hopeful answer, "Ice Cream!" Of course that was not the answer. He said, "No. Pretzels and Dr. Pepper." I thought of a compromise of going to Sonic's Happy Hour to get his drink and ice cream for Matt and I. It was a wonderful and hot trip and the ice cream really hit the spot!

It was hot and turned the sundae into
ice cream M&M soup, but that did not
stop Matt Boogie!

Got some on the arm

Yummy Cherry!

Liking the lid to make sure he got all the
whip cream. (That is for sure my son!)

Looking cute and being silly with the spoon

because he wanted pretzels and a
Dr. Pepper!

Grandpas are Fun Too!

My Dad called today to use me for my internet. Sorry to the other fantasy baseball teams out there for helping. I know Dad can be obnoxious when he is winning. I mean, I did learn my winning behavior from someone and apparently it is Dad.

I guess he thought he would just phone in his request, but that was not going to work for Matt and I. I told him I would not help if he did not at least come by and see us. He said he was going to come over even before he called, maybe I can give him that one. I am feeling nice today.

He did show up, and Matt and him had a blast. I am not a rough houser too much. At least not to Matt's liking. I mean he has AJ and Bill who throw him around and mom just does not do. However Grandpa does fix the rough housing need for Matt. Grandpa also makes a wonderful turtle.

Here is Grandpa being a turtle.
Matt calls it this because it is
usually me on my hands and knees
and I move slow like a turtle. I just
don't cut it as a horse I guess.

As you can see they had a great time together.

Favorite Things

These pictures are in reverse order by the way. You will be looking at Matt's day from the end to the beginning. Just too lazy to flip them around. Enjoy!!!
Getting kisses from Grandmama
and now the Pinocchio doll.
Matt has fallen in love with the movie.
So I went into the attic and found my old doll.
It is now his and a huge hit!

More kisses
If there was ever any question if Grandmama spoils him,
then here is the ultimate over the top this boy is spoiled moment...
He is in his boat, with the Spiderman floaties,
then on my raft, and drinking a Capri-Sun
all because that is the way he wanted it.
Yeah, he gets whatever he wants at Grandmama's house
No wonder it is a favorite thing!

Swimming in his Lighting McQueen boat

Making silly faces and about to go swimming

Taking a car ride. He would rather be driving, but
he decided that getting to go to Grandmama's was more fun!

Tobi is definitely a favorite thing right now.
She needs to get smart like Starsky and just hide.

Fun with the New Camera

We FINALLY got the camera today from the UPS guy! So after the battery charged Matt and I went outside to play. He played with sticks and cars and I played with the camera. I am even more excited about tomorrow when Matt and I go somewhere fun to really try this thing out!

Matt eating his broccoli.

Here is Matt checking out a neighborhood girl walking her dog.
She is probably 7 or 8 and Matt was trying desperately to get her attention.
"Hey Babe, come check out my ride."

Trying out the scenery option
