Whhaaaaaat!

Matt was doing some of his tricks yesterday so I got the camera and he kept doing them for the most part. This is awesome because normally I get the camera and he freezes, like the singing frog who only sings for his owner on Loony Tunes. It drives me crazy, but yesterday he just kept going.
The "Whhhaaaaaaat" that Matt says on the video is a game he and his Uncle Bill play I guess. AJ and I have to play it too now, but Matt still reminds us that Uncle Bill says it better.

Video Chatting with Tyler

AJ, Katie, Adam, and I have all chatted before a long time ago when Tyler and Matt were still babies and really did not know about each other. Some how it never crossed my mind that the boys would like to video chat even though Matt is constantly asking about Tyler, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Adam. I am glad Katie finally mentioned it because I know Matt had a blast seeing Tyler. However I do think the coolest part for Matt was seeing himself on the TV. He just kept making faces in the camera and looking at himself. It was very cute.
AJ and I also enjoyed seeing Tyler and we got to see Kevin. That was very cool because so far we have only seen him on the blog and the photos Katie and Adam have went through the mail.
Matt with his ear piece in ready to chat.
This is what Matt saw on the TV.

Yummy Ice Cream!!!

Grandmama came over with some milkshakes the other day because AJ and I have been sick. We both had awful sore throats and could hardly move. She was a huge help with Matt and the shakes really hit the spot. Of course she brought one over for her and Matt to share. What kind of Grandmama would she be if she didn't? Do you see the size of that thing!
(They did not finish the whole thing though. Thank goodness)

Sprinkler Time???

The day looks kind of dreary and cold, but it is a little deceiving. It was sort of warm that day that I let my son run through the sprinkler. I really did not have much choice he sort of ran in there before I could grab him and then it was too cute not to go get my camera and take pictures. I got him inside and dried him off fast as soon as I got ALL the pictures I wanted.

Also realize that last summer Matt was pretty scared of the sprinkler and getting water shot in his face. So I had to let him overcome this fear and not make any thoughts about water in face worse. Really I was being a good mom by letting him explore the water.

Getting Ready for the Day

Matt has been watching me get ready in the mornings and wants me to use my brushes on his face. So I found him his own mirror and brushes to use. AJ does not care for the make-up routine for his son so I have made his brush a shaving cream brush. I guess I will always be sharing a bathroom even when AJ has gone to work, because Matt is right there doing his morning thing with me.

(PS: The hat was all Matt. He came around the corner with it on saying, "Mirror and Brush" and I bet you can guess getting into the bathtub was completely his idea too!)

Matt is Sick :(

Matt spiked a fever last night, lost his appetite, and just wanted to rock and snuggle. That should have been clue #1. However he has spiked fevers before and has been on the go go go and not wanted food too. SO AJ and I thought give him some Tylenol and put him to bed and see what happens tomorrow.
This morning the fever went down and he was up to doing his normal thing and even ate some oatmeal. He did not want to eat his animal crackers though for sitting on his potty (clue #2). The last clue is a big one though and finally convinces me that something is wrong with our boy. He begged to watch the Imagination Movers all morning. I put the show on for him and about half way through while I was getting laundry done and checking my email I notice him walk quietly back to his room. I hear a little moaning and then quiet. I go back to check on him and this is what I find...

He crawled up into his bed and put himself down for a nap. That is big CLUE #3 because nap time is almost always a struggle. Poor Guy is SOOOO Tired!!! Hopefully a good nap will revive him, but I am guessing that I will be at the Dr's office bright and early tomorrow morning. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this won't be the case tomorrow though.

Oh What A Beautiful Morning!

Good Morning All-

The Vaughn Family would like to share some news with all who read. As you may know we have been traveling around in our surrey with the fringe on top going through Kansas City, where everything is up to date, and up to hospitals north of home to see if we would like to live there and AJ work there for the next four years. Since I'm just a girl who can't say no, I told my honey to go where ever he felt happy and was best for his career. I know there are some out there that say we need to get out now with all er nothin' and experience these next four years alone. We did take that into consideration and we appreciate all the advice. A decision on AJ's part has been made and we are awaiting the confirmation, but we are about 99% sure we will be in OOOOOOK-LAHOMA!
For the next 4 years and counting.

Love - The Vaughns
