Chihuly & Ice Skating

A couple of Saturdays ago we went downtown and had some fun with my brother Joe and his son Harry. We started the day trying to take a family picture in the Oklahoma wind. It was blustery and this was the best shot we got.
We all piled into two cars, Joe got the boys, and headed to the ice skating rink. It wasn't opened yet so we walked to the art museum. We saw some really old and beautiful Venetian art and my favorite the Chihuly exhibit. Then it was on to ice skating. We made it once around the rink and then finished, but it was still a great experience.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Love THE VAUGHN Family

They had some fun getting it done.

one of my happy places
It makes me smile every time.

and being quiet in the museum.
Both boys did a great job!

This hallway is the coolest and
so very peaceful. It just makes you smile.

most favorite people.
Here AJ is lacing up Matt's
skates and lecturing me
on how dangerous ice skating is.
AJ: "You know I broke my arm ice skating?"
Me: "Yes. What were you doing when you broke arm though?"
AJ: "I was playing tag and horsing around."
Me: "Exactly! I don't think I'll be playing tag on the ice with our 3 year old honey."

This was Matt and I
most of the time.

Ever so often though

unsuccessful though this time
Maybe next year the boys
will get the hang of skating.

Colette Elise gets Baptized

Last weekend was Colette's baptism. It was very nice and we really appreciate Chuck and Cindy for being her Godparents. She wore her cousins' gown and bonnet and looked beautiful. Matt saw her and said, "Awww Coco got married."
He was full of entertaining moments, because when Father started the prayer to start the baptism Matt started waving his hands in a hold on fashion and said, "Whoa whoa whoa, I do not want to get baptized." He is such a funny a little guy.

Here Matt is renewing
his baptism promises.
He is ready to say "I do" when
father ends the statement.

Colette did awesome. No tears
while the water was poured.

Gentlemen & Ladybugs

***Coco and the Gentlemen***

Coco loves hanging with the guys.
Here they all are ready to watch
some Boomer Sooner football!

Catching a few winks with dad.
Always a great way to spend the afternoon.

***Little Ladybug***

I got out the HUGE ladybug from Grandmama (Gerry) and took some pictures of Colette on it. It took her a minute to warm up to the idea of this fluffy thing she was sinking into, but I finally got some smiles.

Trick or Treat

Another year of trick-or-treat has come and gone. We had lots of fun with all the cousins that could be with us. Coco dressed up, but stayed behind with Grandmama to help pass out candy.

HAPPY
HALLOWEEN!

Coco's First Trip to the Zoo

We went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. It was Coco's first time. I am understanding a little bit now why there are so many home movies of my brothers and not so much of me. The older louder children doing stuff and moving around get their pictures taken.
I did however manage to get a picture of Colette with the bear statue. This was thanks to Uncle Bill and Aunt Kristy. There was water in the statue they got out for us so I could have this picture. This is the same statue and almost exact picture I got with Matt on his first trip to the zoo.
