Waiting & Reading

AJ and I were having a quiet morning when we heard Starsky kind of grumble. When we turned around this is what we saw...
We had told Matt that Grandma was coming over so we thought he wanted to be the first one to greet her. In all honesty though he most likely was tormenting Starsky by taking her spot.

We also got Matt a Toy Story book and reading it with Dad is his new favorite thing. They both get comfy in the big chair and read together. Matt tells Dad who all the characters are. Bo Peep is quickly becoming Matt's favorite. (Besides Woody & Buzz of course)

Swings with Dad

Here is Matt on his first tire swing. He held on tight and we pushed him slowly.
He had fun and I was only terrified for a second thinking he would fall backwards.

We all went to the park yesterday and here are father and son enjoying the swings.
I was under a tree sitting in the shade watching them. It was wonderful!
I think my camera zoom worked very well!

Dad thought this was more fun then Matt did.
He was too scared to turn around.

So I went to his side.

Nice Clean Fun!

Here is Matt coloring. As you can see I don't have him confined because of the wonderful Wonder Color Markers. It does take about 3 seconds for the color to show, but once Matt got past that he wanted to color all the time. I just sit and watch, because those markers will only mark on Color Wonder paper, which comes plain or in character coloring books (That's the best for Matt because he loves Toy Story and Thomas). It is awesome!

Matt at the Ballpark

We went to AJ's games last Friday because they were not ridiculously late like they can get sometimes. This is not Matt's first time out there though. I found a picture from a year ago at his first softball game. He was so little. Matt had a blast he got to stay up past his bed time, got to play in the dirt, ran around on an empty field, ate some M&Ms, and shared a snow cone with me. It was a special event so I thought a few treats would be nice for him. I wish I had my camera ready for the first bite of snow cone, because the look was priceless and the bite of snow cone went from his mouth to lap very quickly. I don't think he was expecting the cold, but he got used to it.

Finger Painting????

I thought it would be fun to finger paint today. Matt has really been into coloring so I thought painting would be the next step. He had a lot of fun as you can see. While there was some definite and very good finger painting going on there was also some face and body paint going on. It was fun until Matt started eating the stuff then it was time to clean up. Which was very easy by the way just water no scrubbing. It was really nice.
