The Drum has Evolved

A little over two years ago AJ and I heard a loud crashing noise from Matt's room. We ran in there to find that Matt had dumped all the blocks out of his drum and was using it as a Buzz Lightyear helmet. He was yelling "To Infinity and beyond. pshhh!"

Now the drum has evolved into...

IRON MAN

Festival of the Arts 2010

AJ had the day off yesterday so the three of us headed downtown to the Festival of the Arts. It was a beautiful day and we had tons of fun looking, listening, and tasting everything we could.

Listening to some "rock stars" as Matt called them.

They were a little too loud for his liking.

This was the most fun. I sat in the grass

and watched him wear himself out running

up and down this great big old hill.

I thought it would be nice to take a picture with him,

and he thought it would be fun to whack me

with his balloon.

I had to get a few whacks in myself.

It is on his wrist because Matt wanted to be able to see it.

Nuzzling Time & Wolverine Needs a Shave

Since it is nice outside Tobi is now an outside cat again. She is loving it except for the lack of her nuzzling time. She will look for it anywhere now. Inside the house she would stay away from Matt as far as possible, but now she sees him as a good nuzzling post.

As for Wolverine, he came for a visit. As most know he is a pretty scruffy guy. So when AJ decided to shave Wolverine asked if he could get a little cream too.

AJ was disappointed on how many he actually got to color.

Matt was a lot more into it this year.

We also celebrated Jack's 8th birthday.

Grandma only put 7 candles. Sweet Jack

told her, "It's ok. Technically I am still 7.

Since my birthday is next week."

AJ I told him no cake. I guess he found it on his own.

He actually licked off the extra frosting.

So I guess really he did listen to no cake.

Frosting is not cake right? He is getting

too smart. We are going to have to keep an eye on this one.

Matt in his Natural Habitat

My dad and I took Matt to the new Children's Zoo. He fits right in with the other wild animals. He loves running around and being crazy. Unfortunately the children's zoo did not impress him that much. So on we went to see the usual bears, fish, and course the playground. It is always a nice walk around and it really tames my little animal. Even if it is just for an afternoon.
