Winter Wonderland

As you all know we got some more ice and snow this week. It was wonderful having AJ home for 2 whole days. Thursday was his day off and then Friday his wonderfully sweet upper-level resident told him to stay home.
We went out on Friday and cleaned AJ car. It took us a good hour working together while Matt played. Saturday AJ had call so he had to go in, and Matt and I hunkered down and had fun inside. Today we got out! Hooray!!! AJ got home and we went shopping and took some more pictures. So enjoy. I know we are. This neighborhood is beautiful with all the icy snow covered trees.

Our Pretty Home

Having some fun
He has no problems
rolling around in the snow.

Big helper!

Our cars are some where in there.

I know this is dangerous.
He just loved being in the street.
Not one car passed so he was safe.

That came from my back windshield.
Matt was a little jealous...

so he found one of his own.
He told me, "This one is mine!"

This has been the most fun winter. The ice and snow was just enough here to be beautiful and still keep our power.

The Cat & the Matt

Matt saw a photo opportunity with Tobi, our little kitty, the other day. He asked me to get the camera and take a picture of him and the cat. I was so surprised that I ran to get the camera. He has NEVER asked to have his picture taken. Maybe after three years of a camera in his face he has come to like it.

This is our favorite.
I mean look at that face
and Tobi has no clue.

An AJ Post

AJ got home last night after dark, and I asked him if he would like to grill. I knew the weather had been better than any other time he had cooked with his new grill so I thought I would see him outside enjoying his new toy. I walk out to give him some stuff for the food and this is what I see (and could not resist a picture)...

He is sitting on our old couch that was
waiting to be picked up by our sister Melissa.

He looked very comfy.
He also informed me the times he actually grilled in the freezing weather and the snow he cleared a path for the grill on the driveway and cooked outdoors. There is something backwards there in that on an actual decent night he decides to stay IN the garage. Good thing he is cute and book smart because sometime his "common sense is not all that common". Love you honey!
The quote comes form my mom who tells me it was a favorite thing her dad told her.

Super Boogie's Party!

We had a super hero theme for Matt's party. It was a lot of fun having everyone over. I know Matt had a blast. Thanks!
The Cups
(Sorry Spider-Man if I
didn't do you justice)
This was the night before
on his actual birthday.
I just thought it was cute.
I stuck with the theme getting Spider-Man paper.
Not sure if you can tell what type Matt picked.
Pink Princess Paper.
I thought, Why fight it?
He just thinks they are pretty and wants them to come to his house.
AJ and I might be in some trouble.
My Amazing niece Rachel (who turns 16 today!)
Made this wonderfully delicious cake.
It is Captain America's shield.
AWESOME, AWESOME Job Rachel!
Thank you!
Matt getting back to his baby roots
Opening presents went a lot smoother
this year. He has it down and rips the paper like a pro.
Blowing out the candles. Spider-Man
was being a little tricky.
He started falling off the cake.

Matt and CJ Playing

while the others watch some Super Why?

Getting some love from GiGi.
So Happy that Gramps and GiGi came
to see Matt on his special day.
We had missed Christmas with them because of all the snow.

***Three Year Old Pictures***
Got Matt's picture taken on his birthday. He did a really good job and we got some cute photos. I posted a few of our favorites.

Three!!!

Well it happened and it's official Matt turned three. I cannot believe he is this old now. Well he is in for a special treat today and tomorrow. AJ is post call today (so will be tired, but here) and AJ has Saturday OFF!!! HOORAY! Matt will get to see his dad for a little bit.
We plan on spoiling him tons today. More so even and I am sure some are asking, "Is that possible?" Well we are at least going to try.

Getting to watch some TV

Getting tired of the camera so early in the morning.

"Here I am looking at you. You want me to WHAT??"

"Smile. OK I'm smiling!"

"Here just leave me alone."
He gave me this one shot and turned around
and has ignored me and the camera the rest of the morning.
Since I knew no more friendly pictures
were coming I thought I would share what I have so far.
