How Much Snow???

We got a little bit of snow this Christmas Eve. We all three bundled up since Dad was home on holiday vacation, and went out into the storm. We have a war story or two about our drive, but nothing as bad as some in our family. We are just thankful everyone is safe!
Matt does have gloves they are just in the car.

See gloves. Moms and grandmas can stop worrying.
He wanted to make a snow angel and got stuck.

Dad has Boogie in his sites
Makes Boogie feel safe, but still has him
in target range
Going in for the take down
and Boogie got caught.
This is probably why dad was limping the rest
of the week. He was playing a little too hard.

All had fun and ready for hot chocolate.
OH, and a candy cane.

The Vaughns Must be Crazy

Not really sure what possessed us or why we thought, "Yeah Christmas Eve eve is a great night for painting." But we thought this and went for it. Whose room got the fresh coat? Well of course our sweet little Boogie. Who else? Why would we pick our room to dishevel? I mean it isn't like anything else going on and Matt's room isn't about to be attacked by millions of new toys! This was completely rational and not crazy at all right?

It was fun no matter how silly it might have been. AJ and I realized this is the first time we ever really did something like this together. I mean besides painting the outside of our yellow house, but that doesn't count. AJ's dad and I painted most of it since AJ had some lame excuse. I think it was his first couple months of med school. Please what a wuss. (kidding honey)

I know this is long but this is the best part. So we got Matt settled watching a movie and started our little adventure. We did try and let Matt help, but we saved money by not buying drop cloths. Should have bought some though after watching AJ paint. But back to the best part. Every fifteen minutes or so Matt would come in and in awe saying, "Wooooooowwwww! Great job guys! Great job! this is perfect!" He even threw an awesome in there one time. He did this probably ten times with the same enthusiasm he had the first time he saw it. I love him so much!

Matt in our guest room.
Going to wake up to an unfinished
room, but it will be done in
time for him to sleep there
Christmas Eve.

A Wallace Christmas

AJ, Matt, and I went to Tulsa to visit with the Wallace side of the family. We had a lot of fun and Matt enjoyed playing with all his cousins.
There was no shortage on sweets and all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were all in the Christmas spirt and gave Matt what ever treat he wanted! :D Thank you all for that he was a joy to put to bed that night.
The Whole Wallace Family
that was able to be there.
There are more of us out there and
we wished they were there.
Matt about to eat his treat
after helping decorate the cookies for the party.

This was Matt's creation. A little
bit of everything!

Matt gave up the hammer
He did it willingly, but was
rethinking the whole thing in
this picture.
But he did give a sweet picture too!

Matt snuggling with Cousin Jenni
He was only quiet in her lap. She needs
to come and live with us.

Only in a Boy's Mind

We had a Christmas Party last Saturday and AJ got this tabletop soccer game and Matt got these Hulk and Cyclops action figures, and only in a boys mind do you put the two together.

Matt helped me build the soccer game, and then he and I played a bit. Then I had to go do laundry and stuff and when I came back the soccer guys were under attack!

I know it looks like the Marvel guys lost,
but Matt informed me Hulk was the winner.

Matt loves the soccer game! I don't think
it belongs to AJ anymore.

Here Comes Santa Boogie

Matt willingly put on our Santa hat so I had to take pictures.

This was his 1st Christmas
Look how much he has grown!

Now silly faces because
he was tired of being sweet in
the Santa hat.

Santa, Video Games, & Hot Chocolate...

What else could a boy ask for?

Matt was so good sitting with Santa

Telling Santa about the Wolverine
he would like for Christmas.
Picking out something from Santa.
Couldn't find a Wolverine a little
disappointed, but maybe Christmas morning.
Those Tiger feet are giant cups.
Kind of messy and big. thanks Santa!

Playing some Wii

Trying to get to the whip cream

Found out why they call it "HOT" Chocolate

Decided to use his finger
instead to get the whip cream
Yeah... He just ate the whip cream
and left the hot chocolate. I guess
he really is my boy!
