Playground Fun

I guess because Minnesota has awful winters they have built huge indoor play areas so their kids can play without having to go to a fast food restaurant. I don't know if Oklahoma will ever have a place like this, but it was awesome. There was no way for Matt to escape and everything was padded really well so if they fell it was soft. There was also a small area for kids 1-4 so big kids would not trample them and a moon bounce for people Matt & Tyler's size (There was a big one for taller kids across the hall) That is how cool this place was.

For those of you who know Matt though know a small area is not going to do. He had fun in his area for a good 5 minutes and then he was ready to get down with the big kids. At first I was nervous until I went and checked out what he could get into and how high someone Matt's size could climb. The worst trouble Matt could get into was climbing up a slide while another kid was coming down, but I finally let go and said he might have to learn this lesson the hard way. All the big kids were really good though and watched out for the little ones, so luckily no one got a foot to the face.

As you will see Matt is a little adventurer though and made it up the rope climb to the second tier. He started climbing up a slide and I said "Matt no" and then quickly had an eight year old boy talk me down, "Don't worry he won't get far that slide is really steep" That was when I realized Matt would be just fine and I should go sit down like a good mom and stop interrupting the fun.

Saying Good Night with Dad

Matt has done really well for not having AJ around, but he is missing Dad like crazy. So I thought AJ and I could say good night together like we normally do. It was fun, but Matt did not want to give up the phone. He just wants his Daddy.

Waiting for Dad to call

Listening to Dad say "Good Night"

Swim Time

Katie and I went to the pool with the boys today. I believe fun was had by all. Matt needs to hang out with Tyler a little more because Tyler is a daredevil in the water. He just goes right in face first and comes up smiling as you can tell by the backyard video on Katie's blog.

Love you Dad!

Matt and I are having a great time up here, but we are missing AJ like crazy. Matt was talking to his Dad on the phone the other day and said "Love You" for the first time. I think Matt knew AJ needed a little pick me up. So it is official AJ got the very FIRST I love you out of Matt.

We all went shopping at the great outlets yesterday and while we were in the Gap I found this outfit for Matt, and we just hope AJ likes it! We just want you to know Honey we are thinking of you and we love you very much!

This was just for you Honey.
He was smiling especially for his Dada

He was ready to watch Mickey Mouse and have the photo shoot over with.
I was in his face all morning with the camera.

Day out with Thomas II

Katie and I took the boys to a Day out with Thomas. There was tons of fun stuff for them to do. Katie also got us tickets to actually ride the train. She and I agreed that the train was just ok for us, but the boys loved it. They just kept saying choo choo, choo choo. Tyler was saying bye to all the cars and Matt has his face pressed against the window watching the corn go by. And as Adam pointed out to us the train ride was for the boys, so if they enjoyed it then we should not say much about what we thought. I guess he might have point.
Well Katie put together a slide show of some pictures and video she is going to post and I thought I would just put some pictures on.

I was surprised Matt sat still long enough for this picture.

Matt tried to crawl into the bubbles about 3 times

This is one of my favorite pictures. Tyler was having so much fun in that thing.

Daredevil Matt thought it would be fun to go into a ball pit with big kids.
He did really well for about 5 minutes and then he was ready to go.
(with a couple of balls of course)

Matt & Tyler to the Rescue!!!

In honor of Matt visiting Aunt Katie, Uncle Adam, and Tyler an outside toy got to be an inside toy. The fire truck which is now the object of the boys' affection was a hit inside. Despite trying to teach the boys how to share we quickly learned the boys could work it out by themselves. The solution Matt leaves Tyler alone while Tyler is riding, and Tyler rides along with Matt despite Matt's protest.

Finally a moment alone.

As you can see Tyler and "Mac" had a wonderful time!

Shower Fun!

So Aunt Katie was nice enough to make Matt & Tyler some Ravioli with red sauce for dinner. This in turn meant it was time for a bath!!! The boys had fun playing together in the tub, and Matt thought it would be nice to help clean the shower!

He was fine for anyone concerned.

Then he was ready for sleep!
Hooray for Tyler for wearing down my Boogie!
