Chihuly & Ice Skating

A couple of Saturdays ago we went downtown and had some fun with my brother Joe and his son Harry. We started the day trying to take a family picture in the Oklahoma wind. It was blustery and this was the best shot we got.
We all piled into two cars, Joe got the boys, and headed to the ice skating rink. It wasn't opened yet so we walked to the art museum. We saw some really old and beautiful Venetian art and my favorite the Chihuly exhibit. Then it was on to ice skating. We made it once around the rink and then finished, but it was still a great experience.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Love THE VAUGHN Family
Uncle Joe, his son Harry, and Matt Boogie
all trying to get through the rotating door together.
They had some fun getting it done.
Chihuly Exhibit
one of my happy places
It makes me smile every time.
(This is a shot of the ceiling that
the boys are lying under a couple of pictures down.)
Matt getting tired of pictures
and being quiet in the museum.
Both boys did a great job!
Lying under the
ceiling of colorful glass.
This hallway is the coolest and
so very peaceful. It just makes you smile.

Matt with his Uncle Joe
and Cousin Harry. 2 of his
most favorite people.
Here AJ is lacing up Matt's
skates and lecturing me
on how dangerous ice skating is.
AJ: "You know I broke my arm ice skating?"
Me: "Yes. What were you doing when you broke arm though?"
AJ: "I was playing tag and horsing around."
Me: "Exactly! I don't think I'll be playing tag on the ice with our 3 year old honey."

This was Matt and I
most of the time.
Him on the ground with me
pulling him up.
Ever so often though
we would get into a nice flow

He isn't doing his
best Travolta impression
just trying to stay up.
unsuccessful though this time
Maybe next year the boys
will get the hang of skating.

Joe and Harry falling

And where is Colette while all
of this is going on...

All snuggled away in her
cute pinkness.
Sleeping and having
good dreams!
